After 3 days of waiting for weather to clear we finally got what we wanted, cold temps and clear skies. Unfortunately it was the first day of four that we couldn’t use the heli. For four days we aren’t allowed to fly because of a politician in Athens. Don’t really want to explain the details, but its pretty crazy we can’t fly even though we aren’t close to Athens… So to be productive we packed up the van and took off to what everyone said was the best ski area in Greece. After driving some of the craziest roads I have ever been on in the mountains, we reached our destination of Vassilitsa. We were able to get some shots in the bag and finally ski around on some snow. The locals were super nice, and we were able to chat with them at the local bar afterwards. A round of the best bourbon apple cider and moonshine I have ever had and funny people. Once done there, we set off to a new location much further north in Greece. The idea in mind (I won’t spoil the details now) but is to do something very unique and out of the ordinary. Its going to be interesting to say the least.
DISCLAIMER- I usually write this blog when I can’t sleep here, usually around 4 a.m. So sorry if there is any grammar errors or anything else.

Was really looking promising this morning when we woke but turns out the clouds came back in. We sent the heli up to check out the zones but they had to turn around and come back to camp. So we decided to go check out this castle up on the foothills. We showed up to find lots of goats running around and an awesome local goat herder with them. He were able to hang out and check out the castle for a bit, now we are packing up and getting ready for a big move tomorrow to new location.

Hey everyone, i know its been an extremely long time. But with the Warren Miller shows coming to WA this weekend. Here is a little behind the scenes look at my Montana segment. The shows here kick off with Tacoma Sat. night at the Pantages theater and on the 22 and 23 in Seattle. Come out say hi and see the film. Hope to see some people there.
Yesterday I finally got to something I have dreamed about ever since I saw them done in films, Avalanche barriers! We went out on a mission to find some really sick man made pillow lines on the side of the road. Clayton our host/guide took us out for a ride in the car and after about 40 min we found our zone. It was another blue bird day and we absolutely killed every line possible on the avi barriers, nothing was left. we showed up around 10 and didn’t leave until 5. Its crazy this stuff is all a short boot pack away from the road. I will let the pictures tell the rest of the story.
