After 3 days of waiting for weather to clear we finally got what we wanted, cold temps and clear skies. Unfortunately it was the first day of four that we couldn’t use the heli. For four days we aren’t allowed to fly because of a politician in Athens. Don’t really want to explain the details, but its pretty crazy we can’t fly even though we aren’t close to Athens… So to be productive we packed up the van and took off to what everyone said was the best ski area in Greece. After driving some of the craziest roads I have ever been on in the mountains, we reached our destination of Vassilitsa. We were able to get some shots in the bag and finally ski around on some snow. The locals were super nice, and we were able to chat with them at the local bar afterwards. A round of the best bourbon apple cider and moonshine I have ever had and funny people. Once done there, we set off to a new location much further north in Greece. The idea in mind (I won’t spoil the details now) but is to do something very unique and out of the ordinary. Its going to be interesting to say the least.
DISCLAIMER- I usually write this blog when I can’t sleep here, usually around 4 a.m. So sorry if there is any grammar errors or anything else.

new digs for a couple days
Was really looking promising this morning when we woke but turns out the clouds came back in. We sent the heli up to check out the zones but they had to turn around and come back to camp. So we decided to go check out this castle up on the foothills. We showed up to find lots of goats running around and an awesome local goat herder with them. He were able to hang out and check out the castle for a bit, now we are packing up and getting ready for a big move tomorrow to new location.

Well the adventures never end… I finally made it to Greece and the place we are all staying after spending 48+ hours in a plane/airport. However my bags and everything I need did not. I found out Josh Bibby’s bags also did not make it in from his flight, so we both were out of luck for the first day. Luckily we were informed that our bags would be showing up at 4 P.M. So for the first day we just hung out got use to the time change (which is about 10 hour difference, so as I’m writing this its 5 A.M.) I pretty much stuffed my face with an amazing breakfast and lots of coffee this morning. The food here is amazing and I may come home about 10 pounds heavier, OOPS! Anyway, the plan was to drive to the airport and get our bags at 3, But why drive when you can fly! We took off from out hotel and was at the airport in about ten minutes, I must say you definitely feel like a bad ass when you show up by heli to get lost luggage. Unfortunately upon arrival I was informed that my bags would for sure be in the following day, however one of Josh’s bags did make it. So the heli ride to the airport wasn’t for nothing after all. Afterwards we went into town to an amazing little restaurant were I continued to stuff my face with amazing Greek food and something called Zeus Juice (home made wine). So tomorrow is another day and hopefully I will be able to report back that I have bags in hand.
